Peach Gateau

• 1Sponge Cake
• Thick Custard filling
• 2½ cup Milk
• 6tbsp Custard Powder
• 6tbsp Sugar
• ½ Cup Finely Chopped Tinned Peaches.
• 1tsp Vanilla
Topping
1tin Peach halves
Cherries
Chocolate Crusties
To soak
• ½ Cup Syrup from peach tin
Mix Milk with Sugar and Custard Powder. M.H. 2 minutes stir and M.H. 2 minutes. Repeat till Custard is thick. Cut the cake in 2 Halves. Soak both cake pieces with 3tbsp of Syrup. Spread Custard on one half of cake. Spread chopped pieces of peaches. Invert second piece of cake on custard Cake piece. Spread half cup Custard on top.
Cut thin pieces of Peaches. Arrange slices of peaches on top to completely cover the top. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate crusties. Serve cold.
