Ingredients

  • 1 cup maida/all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cups water

Method

  1. Put sugar in warm water along with yeast. Leave for 10 min till bubbles appear. Add salt, a little sugar and oil to the dry ingredients and rub. Add yeast and knead the dough. Apply oil on top and make a ball. Leave it to rise. It should be double the size. After the dough has risen make small balls and roll out thick chappaties. Make small chappaties. Put these on a baking tray and bake on 188 degrees for 10 to 15 min or till they puff up. Remove from oven when slightly cool, cut into half.
