Ingredients
- 500 grams mutton mince
- 50 grams chana dal
- 50 grams onions
- 2 or 3 green chillis
- 6 or 8 garlic cloves
- 2 inch piece of ginger
- 2 teaspoons coriander powder
- 2 cardamoms
- a pinch of turmeric
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 or 2 eggs
- 1/2 bunch coriander leaves
- salt to taste
Method
- Soak dal for 2 hours. Then mix it with mince and add cardamoms, salt, half of the onions, garlic, ginger and green chillis – all chopped and boiled. Grind the rest. Grind dal and mince mixture into a paste along with the dry masala. Bind with egg and divide the mixture into equal portions. Make into flat and round balls, 2 inches in diameter. Fry till brown. Serve hot with onion rings and chopped coriander leaves and mint chutney.
