Ingredients

  • 1 kg mutton
  • 4 moti elaichi
  • 2 inch cinnamon
  • 16 pepper corns whole
  • 6 cloves
  • 2 large onions finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 4 large tomatoes
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 bayleaf
  • 1 teaspoon haldi powder
  • 2 teaspoons of meat masala/ garam masala

Method

  1. Chop the onions into fine pieces. Puree the tomatoes with the green chillies. Heat one and half tablespoon oil and add the whole spices and saute them for 2 minutes. Add onions and saute them till they turn golden. Add ginger and garlic paste and 2 tablespoon water. Cook till oil separates. Add 1 teaspoon haldi powder and one and half teaspoons of salt. Mix well and add the mutton pieces. Cook on slow for about 10 minutes. Now add the tomato and chilli puree and continue cooking for about 10 minutes on medium heat. Add 2 teaspoons of meat masala/ garam masala Pour one and half cups of water and mix well. Pressure cook in the pressure cooker for 4 whistles on a medium flame. Open the lid when the steam cools down.
